Tree Crops Dinner
at Third Place Processing
Saturday, June 13, 5-8pm
Bechtelsville, PA
Tree crops like hickory and hazelnut have fed people in this region for centuries, and a growing community of growers, processors, and food makers are working to bring them back as everyday pantry ingredients. This dinner is a chance to gather that community around a meal, in a working nut processing facility in the Oley Valley, and taste what a Mid-Atlantic forest pantry can actually look like. We're partnering with Local Bound to source from southeastern PA producers and putting the oils we press at Third Place Processing at the center of the table.
Are you a grower, grocer, chef, or food industry professional? This event is complimentary but space is limited.

Most of the farmhouse dates back to the 1800s. The oldest part of the house, including our special wood-fired oven, dates back to 1760! Some additions were completed in 2007 and were constructed to blend seamlessly into the existing architecture. You may encounter some creaky floor boards during your stay – we consider this part of the charm of a historic farmhouse.
