Celebration of Summertime
w/ Chef Chris Rauhauser
Friday, July 25th – Sunday, July 27th
2-night all-inclusive stay
Part of our summer dining residency series: Celebration of Summertime
Chris’s journey began in his hometown of Lancaster, PA, where he worked closely with local farmers and their seasonal produce. After gaining early kitchen experience, he moved to Philadelphia to cook at Fork, a restaurant with a strong focus on local and seasonal ingredients. He later relocated to New York City to work under Markus Glocker at Bâtard before heading west to San Francisco.
In San Francisco, Chris joined Michael Tusk’s team at Cotogna, where access to the company’s farm deepened his sense of responsibility toward carefully grown ingredients. He then became part of the opening team at Birdsong, working with some of the Bay Area’s finest produce and building lasting relationships with local farmers. While there, he developed a passion for foraging and fermentation, furthering his respect for what grows around us.
After the birth of his first daughter, Chris returned to the Philadelphia area to be closer to family and now works regularly with Bloom Farm to create nourishing meals. His approach to cooking centers on comforting food made with thoughtfully sourced, seasonal ingredients.
Guests will enjoy time to roam the land, harvest from the garden, gather by the fire, and participate in optional hands-on food prep.
Farmhouse accommodations and all meals are included in your stay.

Most of the farmhouse dates back to the 1800s. The oldest part of the house, including our special wood-fired oven, dates back to 1760! Some additions were completed in 2007 and were constructed to blend seamlessly into the existing architecture. You may encounter some creaky floor boards during your stay – we consider this part of the charm of a historic farmhouse.
